Open the theme editor, drop the balance checker where customers will look for it, and pick a layout. No code, no theme file changes.
Your existing cards appear
The app syncs the gift cards your store has already issued, so the admin is populated on day one rather than starting empty.
Customers look it up themselves
They enter their code and get the balance. Every lookup is recorded, so you can see the volume you are no longer answering by hand.

Gift cards first, then the rest of what you give away
Store credit and discounts are separate modules. Both are off until you switch them on, and neither changes anything if you never do.
Store credit
Every customer's balance in one list, split by currency. See what is about to expire and who has stopped spending. Issue credit to one customer, a pasted list, or a whole segment — and it counts towards your liability total.
Discount codes
Every discount and its codes, with how many were never redeemed. Create codes in bulk or import a list, see what each discount actually gave away measured from real orders, and remove unused codes without touching redeemed ones.
Switched on when you want them
Turning a module on asks Shopify for the extra permissions it needs at that moment. There is no reinstall and nothing to re-approve if you only ever want gift cards.

FAQ
Questions merchants ask
How does a customer check their balance?
You add the balance checker block to a page from the theme editor — a dedicated gift card page is the usual spot. The customer enters their gift card code and sees the remaining balance straight away. Nothing is written into your theme's code, so removing the block removes the checker.
Does it work with gift cards I issued before installing?
Yes. The app syncs the gift cards already on your Shopify store, so they are searchable in the admin and checkable from the storefront from day one. One caveat that comes from Shopify rather than from us: Shopify only ever returns the last four digits of a card after it is created, so the full code is stored only for cards this app creates or that you import.
Can customers check the balance during checkout?
Yes, on the Business plan. A checkout extension shows the balance and lets them apply the card without leaving checkout. The storefront checker and the customer account block are on every plan.
How many balance checks do I get?
Basic covers 100 a month and Advanced 500; Business is unlimited. Checks are counted the same whether they come from your storefront, from checkout, or from a lookup you run in the admin.
Is there a free plan?
No. Basic is $4.99 a month, Advanced is $9 and Business is $19. Advanced and Business can be billed annually instead, at $90 and $210.
What are the store credit and discount modules?
Two optional instruments alongside gift cards, each with its own list, bulk issuing, reminders and reporting. Both are off by default. Switching one on requests the extra Shopify permissions it needs at that point, so a merchant who only wants gift cards is never asked to approve anything extra.
Can I see how much gift card value is outstanding?
Yes. The liability page totals the balance still sitting on issued cards — money you owe rather than revenue you have earned — and includes store credit once that module is on.
